Marc 155B CNC Router Bench Instructions (Dual Computer Setup)

Overview

HP xw4600 Workstation → Runs MACH 4 (CNC router control). Must always be used for CNC operation.

Dell PRECISION TOWER 5810/HP Z240 Workstation → Runs AutoCAD Fusion (for CAD/CAM).

Monitor Switching

  1. Both computers share one monitor.
  2. Press “Select” on HDMI Selector (StarTech box) to switch the displayed screen
  3. Or use remote control:
    • Press “1” → MACH 4.
    • Press “2” → Fusion.
  4. The green light on the selector shows which computer is active.

Keyboard & Mouse Switching

  • Only one computer can use the keyboard and mouse at a time.
  • The keyboard and mouse are connected through a single USB cable, which is plugged into the front USB port of the computer.
  • To switch control between computers:
    1. Unplug this USB cable from the current computer.
    2. Plug it into the other computer

USB cable for keyboard and mouse — unplug from the current computer’s front USB port and plug into the other computer to switch control.
