General guidelines:

1. This room does not have any provided computers - you can bring your own but will require HDMI connection capabilities.

2. Please do NOT remove any provided adapters from the room, and return used adapters after

use


3. Left-click and right-click refer to the default right-handed mouse configuration - reverse them

if applicable

If you do not see any image on the screen:

1. Ensure the Power switch is ON and all systems have power.

a.


b. To turn the projector off, press the STANDBY/ON button once, pause, then press it again (a

prompt will appear on the screen); you will hear the fans stop

2. Confirm that the “HDMI PC” input is selected.  It will be indicated by a lit green led beside the button.  

a. The projector is automatically connected to the desktop at the podium

b. A separate device can be connected using the HDMI input

c. The displayed device can be switched by clicking the button on the switch hanging in the front of the podium or by using the remote

d. Ensure the cable and adapter (if applicable) is(/are) properly plugged in - remove and replug

(ensure correct orientation)

e. Open the cabinet with the key set used to open the room

f. There are adapters available if your device does not have an HDMI output port

g. At the top of the cabinet, you will see a top section - ensure the light next to the

button next to HDMI PC is green, press the button if necessary

If you do not hear any sound:

3. Turn on the projector using the Epson remote blue power button. The remote may be in the AV cabinet drawer. The projector should automatically select “Computer” input upon powering on. If not then also press on the “Computer” input button. Ensure your computer's sound is on and turned up, and selected properly.

a. Left-click the speaker icon in your taskbar, press/hold the right-arrow key on the keyboard

until loud enough

b. If there is a red circle with an X, right-click the speaker icon, left-click Sounds, left click

Playback, right click an option on the list, and left-click Enable; repeat this + 3a if necessary

c. On the same menu as 3b, left-click Set as Default Device, test by repeating 3a , and repeat

this if necessary

4. Connect your laptop at the podium to the “HDMI PC” cable to display video to the projector and use the 3.5 mm “AUDIO PC” cable to send sound to the room speakers.  Ensure that you select the speaker/headphone audio output on your laptop.  Audio through the HDMI cable is also an available audio option but it may not show up for some users laptops. Ensure the speakers are powered, on, and sound turned up.

a. Open the cabinet (535-4) with the key set used to open the room (535-3)

b. At the top of the cabinet, turn the knob clockwise; test by repeating 3a

c. At the middle of the cabinet, ensure the switch is in the ON position (red light) and the

orange-outlined button is in the ON position (pops out less from the surface, the screen will be

orange); test by repeating 3a

d. At the bottom of the cabinet, ensure the button is in the ON position (pops out less

from the surface) and turn the knob clockwise; test by repeating 3a

5. Bring your own speakers, and ensure they are selected properly

a. Ensure your speakers are properly powered and connected to your computer (this varies

according to your speakers)

b. Repeat 3a, 3b, and 3c as necessary

6. Ensure to put the remote back in the drawer and to leave the AV cabinet powered on before securing the cabinet door.
