Browser Support: Computer Instructions on Finding Your IP Address

General Guidelines
- Supported Systems:
a. Windows
b. macOS
2. Purpose: The IP address identifies your device on a network. It appears as numbers separated by dots (IPv4) or colons (IPv6), such as 192.168.0.1
Finding IP Address
On Windows Devices:
- Open the Start Menu and search for cmd.
- Select the Command Prompt.
3. Type ipconfig and press Enter.
4. Look for the line labeled IPv4 Address—this is your IP address.
Outcome: You can find your IP address on your Windows device.
On macOS Devices:
- Click the Apple logo (top left) and select System Settings.
2. Navigate to:
a. Network on the left side of your screen.
b. Select Wi-Fi or Ethernet (depending on your connection).
3. Click Details....
4. Your IP Address will now be displayed.
Outcome: You can find your IP address on your macOS device.
