General Guidelines

  1. Supported Systems: a. Windows b. macOS
  2. Purpose: Device names are unique labels used for network identification.

Finding Device Name

On Windows Devices:

  1. Open Settings from the taskbar circled in red.

2. Navigate to: a. System b. About

3. Locate the Device Name section.

Outcome: You can find the device name of your Windows device.


On macOS Devices:

  1. Click the Apple logo (top left) and select System Settings.
  2. Navigate to:

a. General

b. About 3. Locate the Device Name section.

Outcome: You can find the device name of your macOS device.
