Untrusted certificates shows up for the VMWare servers as a result of out of date clients similar to the screenshot below in:

  • etblabs.sept.mcmaster.ca
  • marclabs.sept.mcmaster.ca
  • vdi.sept.mcmaster.ca

To resolve this issue, ensure that you are running the latest version of VMware Horizon. You can find the instructions on installations here:

  1. Open the Horizon Client. Do not attempt log in.
  2. Click on the cogwheel in the upper right corner
  3. Select SSL Configuration
  4. Select the option to not verify the identity certificates
